Training Programmes for NGOs

Activities under Training Programmes are undertaken by Grassroots Institute, an independent unit of GIT created under Resolution No. 2A. So far the small NGOs from many provinces of India like Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Bihar, Orissa, Delhi, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu and Rajasthan have been trained. In 2007, two of the trainings were also participated by the NGOs from Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Nepal. The demand for intensive capacity building from field-based grassroots voluntary organizations is so high that our resources fall short to comply with the needs and expectations of many committed and emerging grassroots organizations.
